Every photo has a story.
While you’re at Walt Disney World , you’ll undoubetedly be looking for some gifts for your little Disney Princess? Here’s three great suggestions for the Disney Princess or even the Disney Princess in you!
1. The Mickey Hat.
Disney hats have changed a lot since I was a kid in the 70’s, when every Mickey Mouse ears hat was pretty much black, and all you really wanted was your name stitched on the back to show your friends back home. Now, hats come in every imaginable color and character, and yes, you can still get your name stitched on the back in certain locations. Usually under $15 to $20, this cute accessory would be perfect for your princess. I’ve seen them online at the Disney Store sometimes, if you just can’t wait to get there in person.
2. Silver Charms
Charm bracelets have come back in style, and nearly all Disney merchandise locations carry both plain metal and sterling silver charms, plus bracelets for each. Imagine your Disney Princess with a bracelet full of charms, or just one starter charm with the promise of trips to come so she can fill up the bracelet with both charms and memories.
I started my own sterling silver Disney charm bracelet last year, and I sport both new charms purchased Walt Disney World and “antique” charms I purchased from eBay at a deep discount. It’s not that all internet charms are inexpensive; you can pay more for sterling silver charms on eBay than at Disney, if you are in a hurry and don’t look for a bargain price. But if you wait for a good price, and you don’t need the sentimantal attachment of having purchased it at Disney, you can add to your collection at a much lower cost than paying retail. Plus this leaves more money for another trip. Metal charms run about $4, with sterling silver charms in the $20 to $30 range at Disney World. For the Disney Diva, they also sell fabulous gold charms and bracelets. You might even convince your Princess to share her bracelet with you, but starting a charm bracelet for her would definitely be a gift she’ll cherrish for years to come.
3. The Mickey Doll
Bright colors, black and white, or big and small, the Mickey Mouse doll is a classic. From key chain size to a Mickey so large that he’ll need to be buckled in a seat belt for the journey home, every Disney Princess would love a Mickey (or Minnie!) to tuck into bed with her at night. There’s no shortage on the Disney property- just step into any gift shop and have some shopping fun.
And for those waiting until their next Disney vacation, there’s always the Disney Store, eBay, and daily Facebook photos (Mouze Kateerz on Facebook) from the Mouze to hold us over until your next trip.
Thanks for coming along for a photographical Disney ride!
