Every photo has a story.
Everybody has a favorite snack from Walt Disney World. Some of us dream about Disney snacks while we’re in the planning stages of our next Disney vacation. Here at Mouze Kateerz, we took a look at the snacks we’re dreaming of, or perhaps the snacks we ate too much of!
This fabulous photo above is a dessert called “The Kitchen Sink, “ and it’s compliments of my friend Beth over at A Disney Mom’s Thoughts. The Kitchen Sink can be found at Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Resort. Holy ice cream, Mickey, look at that photo! Beth filled me in on all the yummy details. “It’s eight scoops of different flavored ice cream served with all the toppings in the house and an entire can of whipped cream! Some of the toppings include brownies, Oreo cookies, bananas, candy bar pieces, hot fudge, cake, and cherries.”
I asked Beth if her group had a good time eating at Beaches and Cream. “When your group, and yes, you need a GROUP, orders the Kitchen Sink, the lights will dim and additional lights on the ceiling will flash and spin while the waitress presents your dessert along with a special announcement! The cost is around $24 and you need at least 6 adults with large appetites to finish it all! If you like sweets, ice cream or chocolate at all, you’ll love this dessert! Beth displays her thoughts and snacks over at A Disney Mom’s Thoughts on Facebook.
Picture this…Bob Angelo, one of the co-hosts of the popular Mouse Chat podcast, chose the Disney Pecan Pattie as his “favorite snack of the moment.” Here’s the Pattie low-down from Bob:

“This really is one of my favorite snacks at the moment. It’s a pecan pattie. It’s actually slightly bigger than it appears in the picture, easily big enough for two people to share, but you’ll want this one for yourself!
The chocolate is rich and creamy, the caramel is smooth and chewy (and they didn’t skimp on it), and the pecans are fresh.
The Pecan Pattie is a really delicious treat that will satisfy even the most particular sweet tooth. I can’t wait to have another one!”
I’ve seen these at the Confectionary, Goofy’s Candy Co., and in several resort gift shops. It probably depends on the location, but if there’s chocolate nearby in a display case, these have frequently been nearby. And now you know how to ask for it by name.
When Bob is in-between snacks, he busy as an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner with Pixie Vacations over at Everything Walt Disney World.
One of our newest Mouze Kateerz Staff Members is Hiromi Okuyama. Hiromi is the wife-portion of a team called “Hiromer,” where the husband takes photos with his latest Nikon Camera, and she writes about their experiences. Hiromi says her husband dreams of WDW’s famous Turkey Leg, and she relates that he has asked Cast Members at every Disney park if they had the Turkey Leg.
Hiromi said, “He wanted to know if the Turkey Leg is covered by the Disney Dining Plan. The answer? It is! And whenever ‘food’ and Disney are mentioned… never mind the indulgent signature dining, mouth watering treats at every corner, or the bountiful buffets, he craves….. the Turkey Leg. “
Having never tasted one of these myself, I asked Hiromi what was the big Disney deal? “As Neanderthal as it looks, holding this giant drumstick of a Turkey leg is a smoked-meat lovers paradise. My husband still craves it to this day. He can’t talk about food or Disney without mentioning them together.
The turkey leg is large, yet tender, and succulent with a juicy exterior and mouthwatering fall off the bone interior. Just one leg is enough to fill up the biggest of stomachs with tender goodness.” Ah, meat!
The Cinnamon Roll
Mouze Kateerz staff member Shannan Wright from Addicted to Mickey chose the cinnamon roll as her favorite Disney go-to snack these days. ”The cinnamon roll from the bakery at the Mill Restaurant is delicious. It is served warm and is covered in a sweet sticky icing. There is just the right amount of cinnamon and baked to perfection. It makes a good option for a snack or breakfast. The Cost? It’s around $3.19.”
I’ve purchased cinnamon rolls at Goofy’s Candy Co., Coronado Springs, and the bakery on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. I’m certain they’re allover the Disney Resorts if you look around. And now you know what to look for.
Now my personal favorite snack these days has got to be the Mickey Mouse chocolate-covered caramel apple.
So $9.95 is definitely not the most ecomical snack we’ve featured, but it’s large enough for you to split among two or three people for a sample, and the taste is unforgettable. I’ve taken a vote (O.K., I am the only one that voted) and I’ve declared this to be the best looking snack of all the yummy snacks featured today. You can find the chocolate-covered caramel apple at the Main Street, U.S.A. Confectionary, Goofy’s Candy Co. and the Candy Cauldron, both at Downtown Disney.
Here’s to wishing I was standing in line right now…
Thanks for coming along for a photographical ride, and we’ll see you on a park bench with a snack in hand!

OMG – I’ve been to Disney World so many times and never knew about The Kitchen Sink. That’s a dessert for the masses. You’d have to invite other park guests to join you on this one. I’m a big fan of the Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT. I’m sure you’ve been. Do you have any favorite dishes from there?
