Disney’s Beach Club: Three Reasons You’ll Love This Resort

Beach Club Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, DVC Beach ClubBy Lisa.

The Beach Club Villas are located between Epcot and The Studios right on Crescent Lake.  is adjacent to the Yacht and Beach Club resort. The villas have rooms ranging from Studios to 2 bedrooms, all with a nautical theme. It is a deluxe Disney resort, so the price is up there. But if you are looking for a resort with a great feel and location, then this is the resort for you. Here are three reasons you’ll love Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

1. Location

From the resort, you are a five minute walk to the International Gateway into EPCOT. You will walk right in between France and the UK. You can also catch a boat over, but you can actually walk there quicker. There is also a pathway that will take you right over to Hollywood Studios; it’s a bit longer, clocking in at 15-20 minutes, but well worth it. Just like when you travel to Epcot, they also have a boat over, so to either park you can avoid the hassle of fighting to get on buses. One other nice perk is by walking through Epcot you can get right on the Epcot monorail to take over the Magic Kingdom. Theoretically the only places you HAVE to take a bus to are Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney….Such a nice perk!

You are also located right across from Disney’s Boardwalk, so you have nightlife activities right at your fingertips. You can go to Jellyrolls, The Atlantic Dance Club, the ESPN Club to catch a game, or any of a number of good restaurants.

2. Fabulous Amenities

First and foremost is the wonderful pool, Stormalong Bay. It has a sand bottom, giving the pool a real beach feel, along with a lazy river to float around in. There is also a shipwreck complete with a water slide for both kids and adults to enjoy.

You can go out to the beach, where you can play volleyball during the day, or at night you can enjoy a movie out on the beach complete with S’mores! You can rent a sea racer or take a cruise on a pontoon boat on Crescent lake.  To get some exercise, outside of the miles you will already be walking in the parks ,you can go to the Ship Shape Health Club. They have a good selection of machines and weights, and the best part is that there is no extra cost. There are plenty of things to do at the resort to relax and enjoy!

3. Last, but not least…The Overall Atmosphere

The whole Yacht and Beach Club resort is set in a nautical theme. It is a relaxing atmosphere that is great for both children and adults. Kids will love the slides and the character meals at Cape May Café as well as getting to play games at Lafferty Place arcade. Adults can relax pool side or grab a drink at the Crew’s Cup Lounge. The whole family will enjoy an ice cream cone from Beach’s and Cream while sitting on the rocker overlooking the pool.

Disney Beach Club Living Room, Disney's Beach Club VillaThe rooms in the villas are just excellent. You can have a kitchenette with 2 beds in a studio. In the one bedroom, you get a full kitchen complete with a full size refrigerator and stove, a dining area, living room, large bath with whirlpool tub in a one bedroom.  In the two bedroom, you get all these amenities plus the second bedroom and bath, which is easily large enough to sleep 8 people. Plus, if you are like our family and plan to do laundry while you are vacationing there, the washer/dryer is right in the room for the ultimate convenience. We love the convenience of having breakfast in the room, and we really enjoy the quiet resort surroundings when we sit out on the balcony. We truly enjoy all the Beach Club extra magical touches.

Room Amenities Standard in All rooms

  • Cable TV (includes Disney programming)  bedrooms and living room
  • DVD player or DVD/VCR combo player, whirlpool tub, and full-size washer and dryer. These three items are not found in the Studios.
  • High-speed Internet access is complimentary for select Suite accommodations. Additional fees apply for all other accommodations.
  • Coffeemaker

Now for the downside- the Price

If you are not a DVC member, staying at the Beach Club Villas is not cheap! A studio runs around $345 a night, a one bedroom $500 and a 2 bedroom will set you back $700 a night. If you are going with a large family, it is really great. For those on a budget that are happy staying anywhere on property, then this is probably not the resort for you. However, if you want the beach atmosphere and the convenience of being so close to the Disney parks, restaurants and nightlife, then this could be the resort to save up for!

Thanks for stopping by for a photographical Disney ride, and we’ll see you on a beach chair at the Stormalong Bay pool.

  1. Very insightful post you have there :)

I stayed in this hotel about 5 years ago and it was wonderful. The beds were comfy, everyone was nice, and the overall feel of the hotel was amazing. It was a nice thing to come back to after running around Disney all day. It is on the more expensive side, but my family and I do the whole disney plan (food plan, hopper passes, special deals, etc.) and that really brought our cost down.
