Traveling with someone that special needs can be a challenge and cause additional stress/tension on a vacation. As I’ve said in multiple posts, Disney does disabilities best. Traveling with a service dog is no exception. Trained service animals are welcome in most areas throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. This includes most attractions and shows. They must remain on their harness or leash at all times.

Due to the nature of the experience, guests with service animals should check with a host/hostess for attraction and boarding information at the following attractions:
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
- Stitch’s Great Escape
- Spaceship Earth
- Innoventions East & West
- “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience”
- Maelstrom
- The Great Movie Ride
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
- It’s Tough To Be A Bug!
- Kilimanjaro Safaris
- Aviary area of Maharajah Jungle Trek
- Aviary area of Pangani Forest Exploration
Service Animal Restrictions
Due to the nature of the experience, service animals are not permitted on the following attractions:
- Splash Mountain
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Space Mountain
- Mission: SPACE
- Test Track
- Star Tours
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
- Tower of Terror
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
- Affection Section at the Conservation Station
- Kali River Rapids
- DINOSAUR
- Primeval Whirl
Someone from your party must stay with the service animal at all times. There are no expectations to this rule. Cast members will not watch your dog so you can ride. There are special areas that you can take your service animal to relieve themselves. Please see your guide book for locations. Guidebooks can be picked up at Guest Relations inside every park.
